create a keyboard shortcut for hiding/unhiding the Launcher?

Has this been considered? Seems it would be helpful for keyboard oriented folks to be able to hide/unhide the launcher via a keyboard shortcut. I can see this being used a lot in combination with the maximize-window command ctrl + alt + zero (especially on small displayed netbooks).
