That comment was when Ayatana project was migrating LP project naming.

David had to close the task so that ProjectAyatana can be renamed on LP.
And once it was renamed a few of those bugs just got lost in space. ;)
They were inaccessible even if we used the bug#, so I had to get LP
admins to move it from "dead-ayatana → hundredpapercuts" for those bugs
to even be visible/accessible. 
I set it to "wont-fix" instead of "invalid" to make it easier to search
and find such bugs.

It was an interesting issue which David thought we could keep track of,
no one was working on a fix back then and AFAIK, no one is working on it
now either. Also, David no longer works at Canonical now. So I dont
think we have any news there.

Maybe if someone from community worked on fixing the bug we might see it
fixed, and you could open the compiz task for that bug.
