it isn't an ABI change and the patch looks quite self-explanatory. I
wonder if we could backport this to the compiz that is in 12.04 if there
won't be a new release in time.
I am not sure if 50% less CPU use actually corresponds to it being
perceptibly faster, I hope it does, but less CPU use isn't quite the
same as more responsiveness.
