Actually, you can tell the system not to list items from particular
folders. So all you would need to do is store all of these files in a
particular folder, and then none of the activity on them will be recorded.
This is in the privacy settings in System Settings.

This prompts if maybe the privacy item could use renaming to be slightly
more generic. Possibly to "History"?
