[Bug 498323] Re: summary threads should respect vm-ml-sort-keys

I don't fully understand what you mean, but have an inkling that you are
talking about this issue that Kyle Jones dismissed:

"I thought we covered this already. If the root message ID is
different, the message are sorted by the date of the oldest
message in the thread. If the root message ID is the same the
messages are sorted by message ID. VM doesn't make any attempt
to sort messages by date within a thread. So the ordering of
sibling messages is essentially random. "

See the thread

I can add this to the wish list, but my guess is that it is not easy to
add given the way Kyle implemented the whole sorting stuff.

Are you finding that the internal order inside the threads is getting
jumbled? If so, I suggest that you take the vm-sort.el from the current
trunk or wait and try the 8.1.0-beta release which should be out soon.

Cheers,
Uday

Bug description:
I would like to both show threads (i.e. set vm-summary-show-threads) and have them sorted in reversed-date order. But it appears that there is no way to control the sort order of threads.
