Hi Ron,

That bug report seems to be a duplicate of bug #518879 and I'm working
on it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

As regards your problems with the manual installation I would like to
see the output of the following commands:
1) ldconfig -p | grep GL
2) update-alternatives --display gl_conf
