Re: Hybrid graphics
The switchable graphics in the Macbook Pro are not a problem, for what
it's worth. Natty simply ignores the integrated graphics and uses the
dedicated nVidia 330M, which also works correctly with Unity after
Natty suggests the proprietary driver. I have not yet attempted
switching between the cards, because I don't believe the Macbooks even
use the Optimus setup, but rather Apple's own (no-name) technology.
Anyway, wouldn't switching from a a 3D nVidia driver to a basic Intel
driver probably kill Compiz if the switch happened while it was
running? Unless you could hot swap Compiz+Unity for Metacity+Unity2D,
but I can't imagine how that might work.
