For the things you want I guess we can add them on the list for feature requests.
You might want to create a blueprint with the description of the specification, as detailed as possible.

Depending on how Debian and Ubuntu pick up the new version, I will continue developing on Xpad or not.
Or if you feel like implementing this functionality in v4.3, I am all ears. :)
