[Question #255513]: xpad -f FILENAME does not work from the terminal. Why?
New question #255513 on Xpad:
https://answers.launchpad.net/xpad/+question/255513
As I like the simplicity and look of XPAD, I wanted to experiment in using a set of XPADs as a simple output of multiple output data of a small text-based database.
The idea is simple: the result of the ('SELECT WHERE' SQL-like) searched files would be displayed in XPADS.
When I want to execute the command 'xpad -f filename' , the return is displayed on an xpad sticky tag : 'Could not read filename'.
It appears, that either Xterm (of Lubuntu 14,4LTS) or Xpad fails to execute the reading in the file 'filename'. I am quite sure that there is a simple (syntactic) solution for this problem, otherwise why would the 'xpad --help' offer this option?
thanks for your reply in advance
