Hi Michael,

If xpad works correct, it should auto save the text in the pad each 4 seconds, with or without an Enter pressed.
It should save this information in your home folder at ~/.config/xpad in one of the content-xxxxxx files.

If it is life or death, I would advise you to  send your harddisk or SSD
to a professional data recovery company.
