FWIW:  I've noticed some other "notepad"/"stickypad" applications on
22.04 also have the problems of broken widow size and position.  This
seems to be a problem in Ubuntu 22.04, as I used version 5.4 of xpad
with no problems on Ubuntu 20.04.  I've no idea what it is:  I have
simply reverted to putting notes into a temporary text file.
