Re: [Question #809261]: Tab width 2 be made flex, not fixed to 8

Question #809261 on Xpad changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/xpad/+question/809261

    Status: Answered => Open

Albrecht DIETRICH is still having a problem:
Dear Arthur,

I would have thought: "That guy does request many things but is not
willing to do something...."
Hopefully you did not...

So now:
I do neither have any kind of experience with C / GTK3 nor with any C
dialects like C++, C# or others.
But I coded many many lines in VBA and Python. e. g. interface to my
radio FT857 and a complete Logbook application based on CALC, (I am
radio amateur), uncountable interfaces to ERP systems to get, compress
and visualize the data production planing needs, calculation wave
resistance of sig tracks  on pcbs,   and many more.

I Think C is just another programming language with different syntax and
semantics., not space scientifics. I will try to learn it and do some
work for XPAD.

Please be informed that I am used to program the procedural way and not
with objects:
Too old and not willing to change that.

If you think that it makes sense under this circumstances I will try to
help.
This is not I promise, that I will help really but an attempt.

I need the following information:
Where to find the source code of XPAD?
An explanation on the structure and build up of the program (e. g. what
is done in main, what is done in functions, when to create something
outside main, how are names set up e. g. objects as
oIamAnObject, constants cIAmAConstant etc.) would be of great help and
highly appreciated.

What do you think?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Please be informed, that I do have some issues with my knee that very
moment. Something is broken and it is not clear, what the doctors will do.
So if I do not come back to your response at short notice a hospital
stay might be the reason.

Have a good time, take car and STAY HEALTHY.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen!

Albrecht DIETRICH
