Ive installed xubuntu 9.10 last week had update to one kernel and 2 days ago to another. 2.6.31-20-generic
Maybe something else couses the problem but im having the same bug and only now.
Why only now?

It started After update this week and only after 2 times restart i got 2

I removed the second one from Session and Startup->Startup removing Volume Control(2nd mixer).
But when its removed i cant get sound on couse that Volume Control(2nd mixer) needs to be unmuted.

Also 2nd mixer not responding to keyboard mute button in 2 situations.
when 2nd mixer properties are open and when 2nd mixer mute is on. It
responds again if 2nd mixer properties are closed and mute removed in

youtube somehow has problem with sound in the middle(it dissapears till
end) so look on icons when i press mute on keyboard and icon not
responding in thouse 2 situations.

Maybe not responding to keyboard mute button is another bug?
