Possible solutions:
1) When clicking a link, open a Lightbox popup (and stop slideshow). Needs modifications to the slideshow code.
2) Add a link covering the whole slideshow area to point to a screenshot -page. Needs some modifications to the slideshow code, but that's more trivial and an improvement to the slideshow anyway.
3) Add a small link under the slideshow to point to a screenshot -page. Doesn't need modifications to the slideshow code.

Clicking on small links in the slideshow -page could open a Lightbox
popup.
