We've had lots of discussions on this subject and as we're afraid that https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/trusty/+source/ibus/+bug/1284635 is not fixed in time for the release, we don't want to ship broken ibus by default in 14.04.

If possible, we will bring it back in e.g. 14.04.1.
