I do use Eclipse for all programming work. And some more. That's why I
do like to have eclipse integration, not to know/remember/use just
another tool to the bunch I'm using now :)

To my experience, it's very unlikely to work without a problems,
whatever tool you're using. And you can always checkout svn, relocate it
to your local repo, develop your local branch, then (more or less
manually, but that's inevitable, really) update mainstream. All this
using stable and industry-standard tool :]
