Is it important to do VTKrecorder like a feature?

Maybe just like a normal engine?

Status in Yet Another Dynamic Engine: New

Bug description:
I tried to install VTK feature, but can compile with vtk feature enabled:

I get:

Checking for vtkInstantiator::New() in C++ library vtkHybrid... no
ERROR: Unable to compile with optional feature `vtk'.

I installed all packages with "vtk" name in my Ubuntu 9.04
