[Bug 509084] Re: using glLists for spheres result in overlighting
OK, I see in the commit message. Did you _measure_ the performance? I
don't think it is possible that Olivier's code would be faster than
routine glut routine made just for displaying sphere.

Bug description:
I just fixed the "strip" code for spheres, but there is still a problem with "over-lighted" spheres (see attached image). Probably only a problem of tunning gl parameters. The same thing appear when no-strips spheres are displayed using glLists.
