usual symbol for spatial orientation?

Hi everybody,

what is the most usual symbol for denoting spatial orientation? I use u,
u̇, ü for position, velocity, acceleration; I need an analogue to u,
but for rotational DOFs. I was thinking about q or o. Suggestions?
