Are you using it as "initial"? If not, you can rename it (Vaclac wrote a python script for renaming).
In a sense... It's for my greater stifnesses : until now I did the change the stifnesses in the contact law (it was not a real change of the stored stifness : I added just a multiplicative term in the computation of the normal force)
Now I'm trying to code it directly in the Physics of the interaction : 
the stifnesses stored in it will really change. But in my contact law I 
still want to be able to access everytime to the lower rigidity (~ the 
one in loading, let's say). That's why I imagined to use this initialKn.
But if you would be glad to get rid off this initialKn in FrictPhys, I 
can easily in fact displace this feature in "my" Phys which exists 
anyway. I think it's that that I'll do if you think it's ok.
