If you don't need openmp and qt4, you can compile with clang (see at
wiki), it is twice faster and uses much less RAM as well. Newer qt4 was
fixed to comply better with the standard, so I would suppose that the
maverick version would be compilable with qt4 as well, but haven't tried.
