You are right, of couse. But how can I get shift2 in my Law* engine?
No need here.
Or to use precomputed shearIncrement from ScGeom?
yes.
But I need incidentVelocity too, but in ScGeom it is not cashed...
Indeed. Use increment/dt?
avoidRatchetting does apply for sphere-sphere only, as mentionned in comments. So, it is consistent to hardcode "false" for sphere-facet.bad), I recommend turning it false : Ig2_Facet_Sphere_ScGeom.cpp:110 : scm->precompute(state1,state2,scene,c,normal,isNew,shift2,*_true_*);Why is avoidGranularRatcheting hard coded here? Should I turn it false and commit?
Let you commit.
Yes, I know what you mean... Here however, you have to re-learn because you want to use a new feature (periodicity). :) With recent changes, it is theoreticaly easier to write a law, but yes, it is always annoying when you have to re-learn something you used to know.ps. I see what Yade's code is very complicated now and I need to learn it again...
