Thanks all for opinions!

I do not have enough time/resources to work on the problem
in the nearest time. So I removed my test-code for a while.

  Spheres that are exactly on an edge between facets behave strangely.
  Maybe related to other (closed, but never solved) bugs in sphere-
  facet.
