I'm kind of happy that this happened to you, too. I thought that it was just my fault.
First thing that came into my mind concenring the reason behind this was that I was using a remote desktop connection to the computer where Yade run. But I think you don't do so Bruno, right?

glad, that you solved it, but it is strange behavior. What distribution do you use? There is some more info in "man xauth".
