Fwd: Free EU-funded parallel software optimisation services

This is a proposal received some time ago that nobody in yade community
took time to investigate yet.
Please have a look.
It's probably gaining interest with current mpi initiative. Of possible
interest for Grenoble's hackathon.

Subject: Free EU-funded parallel software optimisation services

Dear Prof. Chareyre,

I work at the Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG), and we are participating in
the Performance, Optimisation and Productivity Centre of Excellence (POP
CoE), a European Commission-funded project (ECGA-676553), through which we
are providing free services to assess parallel code performance and suggest
opportunities for optimization.

I thought that POP might be relevant to your Yade software. You can see
more about the services offered by POP on our webpage

In case you any concerns about confidentiality, you are welcome to have a
look at our Terms and Conditions:

We are willing to sign an NDA when required, but often this is not
necessary because we do not require that you provide us sourcecode;
instead, we can provide you with our tools to deploy in your environment to
extract traces, and we analyze these traces. This is very low risk for a
potentially high return.

Please let me know via email if you are interested, or I’d be happy to set
up a quick call or answer any additional questions. I look forward to
hearing from you soon.
