Yade 050 installation

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Kumara, from Yokohama National University, Japan.

I want to use Yade package version first as I am not familiar with C++ yet.
Though I tried to install Yade 0.50 (0.50.2 maverick), I failed. There are many
files (amd64.deb, i386.deb, all.deb, .dsc, tar.gz, amd64.deb, i386.deb), so
which one should I get download? To get installed yade, is it enough to install
one of these files like we do in windows (e.g. by double clicking)? Do I need to
write some commands on terminal to compile it then?

I checked yade website but documentations made me confused me sometimes. Could
you please tell me how to install yade 0.50 package version? I have ubuntu 10.10
as OS in my computer.

Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,
Kumara
