Hello!

if you have internet working in your linux system you can send email to
yade-users and tell us what the errors are. (left click to select text,
middle click to paste).

also tell us what linux distribution did you use, if you installed it
without any problems, what gcc version do you have (command: "gcc -v" to
see the version)

If you still have problems I will happily help you.
