Re: Damping/Porosity

Hello,

Chiara, what kind of influence on results when changing the damping
force ?
for me something still inaccurate with yade in triaxial test for a dense
material and I'm not completly satisfied even if I've got the porosity
and the coordination number I wanted, You know what is confusing me the
most?

1- The value of the peak reached by the deviatoric stress q=S22-(S11
+S33)/2 compared with the confinement stress S11 (=S33).

2- The axial deformation corresponding to the peak (which is quite
larger compared to reality)

So my question here, is that Did you find that the damping forces or
momentum, Wall velocity can have impact on these two points ?

I confirm that changing the wall thickness (by default on yade about 1%
of the box edge dimension) has influence on these values, but I don't
know if changing the wall thickness can keep the problem well
positioned.

Can somebody tell more about it ?
