/usr/lib/libglut.so is 32 bit library probably,
but you need 64 bit version of it:

freeglut-090301-3.1.x86_64
freeglut-devel-090301-3.1.x86_64

Also you need to add "/usr/lib64" to LIBPATH in scons.profile-*:

LIBPATH = '/usr/lib64:/usr/lib64/qt3/lib64'

If it don't help, please, attach to next mail you scons.profile-*;
output of "rpm -qa | grep glut" and "rpm -qf /usr/lib/libglut.so".
