Jerome, overlaps are not considered in Yade for porosity definition,
they create no diference at all.

For the second part, yes, it's a crude approximation. Here, Janaka is
looking at isotropic compaction, so the strain is very large.

Janaka, it is true that I'm only guessing how you compute things. Could
you be more explicit?
