burak er is still having a problem:
Dear Chareyre,
I have already started the project;
-In the very first part of the project; I have created an interface for the nodes same as sphere elements that yade presents(just a copy and paste work, then a little change on sphere definition).
Also I have referenced the clumps as an interface for the finite elements; I use a Deformable Element class that is derived from the shape interface. It stores its nodes and will handle the calculation of the internal forces.
-At this point I want to ask you about GL_Functors. I just want to
create only single Gl_functor to draw all the finite element shapes,
namely Tetrahedron, Hexahedronal, etc. elements. There would be one
Gl_Functor for all type of Element shape that are derived from the
DeformableElement shape.
-About the integrators; I reaaly did not understand the idea behind the
performance increment. What do you mean with the performance?
Computational speed or accuarcy. I need to say it is a must to have
some adaptive time stepping algorithms, where time step is calculated
from the error not the maximum pressure wave speed as in the case of
yade. There is no pressure wave speed in Finite elements except
longitudinal wave applications.
Looking forward.
