Your conceptual model is not clear. Maybe try to elaborate what you want to simulate as if it was a FEM model, or even an experimental model. Either way you should not end up with the idea of cancelling the shear forces (in FEM you can't impose null shear stress inside the domain, in experiments you can't touch internal contacts).
