Thanks for the answer. Yes, it is exactly the problem I am talking
about.
It is problematic because the geological structures are regional. You
don't want their outlines to be obliterated by tetrahedrons filling the
empty space between the peaks of the mountains and the edges of the
plain. Also, if in the simulation you get a basin, which is a flat area
surrounded by mountains, TW may directly link those top points in the
mountains and yielding box-like outlines. They are completely different
from your original model.
I think it is feasible to keep the concave parts in triangulation. My
idea is to divide the whole model into several convex parts,
triangulating them separately and assemble the result. What do you
think?
