Please give a try with createDistantMeniscii=True (instead of False).

Here, your spheres are in strict contact (zero overlap) and
Law2_ScGeom_CapillaryPhys_Capillarity disregards such interaction for
meniscus creation when createDistantMeniscii=False. In such instance,
Law2_ScGeom_CapillaryPhys_Capillarity wants a strictly positiv overlap
for menisci to be created.

Again, subtle differences between the two versions (related to numeric
precision ?) could make that checking for finite overlap passes with one
version and not with another.
