It will not work, I'm sorry. If it was working everyone would set infinite density and get results in zero time.
The way it will not work depends on your specific problem but typically: 1/ if you impose forces, everything will move so slowly that it will need much more total simulation time to achieve the same final state; 2/ if you impose displacements the inertia will be so large that every little movement will generate huge inertial forces.
There is no simple way to speedup DEM appart from decreasing the stiffness/force (or stiffness/stress) ratio.
