Just to clarify, these errors appear before you execute cmake command?
In case the prepackaged version does not suit your needs, yes you might
consider uninstalling all pyqt# packages and then reinstalling pyqt4
packages with:
sudo apt-get install python-pyqt4 pyqt4-dev-tools python-pyqt4.qtwebkit
You are right, this is the most straightforward way to install these
packages. Compiling pyqt from sources is not likely going to help
simplify your situation :-)
