Yade-only, e.g. prescribing a strain inside Yade. Otherwise it would be
very difficult to help you.

Anyway, you can easily test your assumptions.
Like here, "no matter how i change the young of balls". Because (according to the shown part of code) you actually do not change anything because O.load() loads the scene (including materials) from the saved file. You can easily test it by printing the values b.mat.young
