The idea was to match the initial interactions with the related edges in
order to prevent crack-flagged facets from appearing and disappearing.
Which can also be a matter of stability especially in the case of
impermeable matrix.
Now, for stiff materials it can also be a speed-up trick (similar to
removing the new contact detection from the collider...).
For larger deformations we should probably find another way to relate
crack-flagged facets to cracks. Then there will be no need for this
function. That's all I think.
