A full minimal working example (MWE) is usually the best way to get help
on any programming question forum. If you are unfamiliar, an MWE is a
small barebones script that we can copy and paste into our machines,
run, and experience exactly what you are experiencing. MWEs give us a
much better understanding of what you are trying to achieve, what you
are doing wrong, and how you can change your script to obtain your
desired results.

I am having trouble understanding your question, please help me clarify:

Why do you say the "number of timestep before doing the calculation of
the new unbalanced force" is too small? Do is your simulation behaving
in an unexpected manner? Is Yade crashing? Throwing an error? Please
elaborate.

And maybe even more difficult for me to understand:

Are you asking which parameter you should change to reduce the required number of timesteps to force equilibrium?  Tough to answer such a question without knowing what material, physics, and law you are using.
