I would not recommend cherry-pick here since it would generate versions which never existed.
Better: git checkout 911e8c9

Preserving local changes (if any) is straightforward:
git stash
git checkout 911e8c9
git stash pop

p.s. There is confusion between package versions (daily, 2019.01,...)
and source code versions (6387d336023f... and alike) in your messages.
