For future reference: the vertical axis can be deduced from the gravity
defined in users script. For instance if gravity=(10,0,0) you can be
sure that 1 is the vertical direction.

More interestingly, 1,2,3 corresponds to x,y,z in the Qt window.
Clicking those x,y,z buttons or checking the axis in 3D view (press "a")
should help.
