[Question #694531]: non linear shear: How to implement it?

Hello all,
Reading through the manual and source code, I found that the shear force is modelled as a linear function of shear displacement. In each iteration, the displacement in the shear direction, dus, is calculated. From this the change in the shear force is calculated and added to shear force. This means change is shear force is independent of the magnitude of shear displacement or force.
I wanted to use a non linear material so I believe this model will not work. Normal force and moment can be handled but the shear force remains a problem. Does anyone know how to implement non linear shear force?
Context: I am simulating the deformation of a cantilever using cylinderConnections and I want to use hyper elastic materials for this cantilever. These materials behave as a non linear function of deformations.
