You can add extra_specs for nodes by creating aggregates with matching
extra specs values.

It looks like the patch in this blueprint that adds scheduler handlers
is complete and works. The portion of the compute/manager.py code that
parses nova.conf isn't in place.
Is there a better patch available than this (abandoned) one?

There are no references to instance_type_extra_specs in
nova/compute/manager.py
I want to be able to add custom extra_specs to my compute nodes to
better allocate images based on custom physical system properties.
