[Bug 1098279] Re: Keystone credential api should define few standard credentials types
I'd be happy to see the identity API amended with an acknowledged
("reserved") list of credential types, but there's no way for keystone
to enforce or validate that list, as it would break deployments
attempting to use proprietary types, or from existing deployments to
support future clients, etc.
** Changed in: keystone

Title:
Keystone credential api should define few standard credentials types
Status in OpenStack Identity (Keystone):
Won't Fix
Bug description:
In v3 implementation credential-type is a string which is good, but
it will be better if you add some standard types such as "ec2",
"pwauth" "certs" etc.
e.g We don't want some calling it "ec2" and other implementation
calling it "EC2"
