We do an explicit name length check in
nova/api/openstack/compute/servers.py

  Fix Released

Bug description:
  The only length limit for name of server in OSAPI is 255 characters
  enforced by table column constraints. I feel the API should fix some
  value for the length, or this value should be configurable parameter
  (say, SERVER_NAME_MAX)
