Title:
horizon_error.log in /var/log/apache2 grew to over 20gb
Status in OpenStack Dashboard (Horizon):
Incomplete
Bug description:
I was mysteriously running out of memory on my developement machine,
which was very strange, since it has a large amount.
Decided to do some digging around to see what was using up all the
disk space, and found a nearly 22 GB log file from horizon. (Refer to
screenshot)
I have no idea what caused this, but the line:
10.0.2.15 - - [01/Mar/2013:13:42:55 -0600] "GET /admin/volumes/ HTTP/1.1" 200 2947 "http://10.0.2.15/admin/volumes/" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0"
is repeated near the beginning (after about 50 lines) and is still
being repeated at the end of the file, so I'm guessing the source of
the bug is related to that.
Not sure how to recreate it, or why it happened, but if there could be
some extra measures in place, then it could be prevented.
