  Hyper-V: instance snapshot fails

Bug description:
  Snapshot related operations fail when using CoW images with some
  xml.etree versions.

  Changing differencing vhd/x images parent path fails because of a
  wrong XML item check. This causes merging vhd/x images to fail as
  well.
