[Bug 1443505] Re: Can create a volume even with "No Volume Type" selected
@Rob Despite the fact that it is unintuitive, horizon is intentionally
designed to be able to create a volume without a volume type. This
exactly matches the cinder api, which permits the user to create a
volume without specifying the volume type.
@Sam "No volume type" is not the same thing as "Default type". Depending
on how cinder is setup, they may be the same, but that is not
necessarily the case; when you select "No volume type", it may yield a
volume whose attributes do not correspond to any particular volume type.
Also relevant to this discussion is [1] , which is a WIP change to
horizon to display descriptions for volume types that are defined in
cinder, including "No volume type".

Can create a volume even with "No Volume Type" selected
Status in OpenStack Dashboard (Horizon):
Invalid
Bug description:
Through the volume create modal I can create a volume without
selecting a volume type, and it selects lvmdriver-1 as the type, even
though the drop down was left as "No volume type".
