Message #38841
[Bug 1498752] [NEW] VMware VM's vmdk files can't be deleted if in different datastore than VM
Public bug reported:
Detail description and steps:
1. Configure vmware as the compute_driver in nova.conf, restart nova-compute service.
2. Create a VM with command with "nova boot..."
3. Add a disk for VM to another datastore (the VM doesn't locate in this datastore) in vcenter
4. Delete the VM with "nova delete...."
5. Current result: only the disk files(vmdk file) in the VM datastore path got deleted, while the disk files in another datastore(which the VM doesn't locate in) couldn't be deleted
Expected result:
All the disk files for the VM should be deleted along with VM deletion
** Affects: nova
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
