Title:
cirros-0.3.4-x86_64-disk can't be lauched in liberty (no timer check
issue)
Status in OpenStack Compute (nova):

Bug description:
I am trying to launch cirros instance following liberty installation
guide.
The instance is created successfully, but guest kernel is stuck with
"trying to set up timer ....".
I tried to google this issue and found there's a bug report in 2014
and already fixed.
The solution is to add "no_timer_check" inside guest kernel option and
I double check "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-
packages/nova/virt/libvirt/driver.py" in my environment, the code
already includes this bugfix.
But why did I still encounter this problem?
